Our story...

The Mertz family has been building and creating for generations.  Grandpa Henry Mertz was a cabinet maker starting in the 1950's and has his work in hundreds of homes in Kansas, Nebraska and Texas.  Jeff's father Larry was also a carpenter in his retirement years.  Jeff began carpentry as teenager and we built our first home in 1988.  After building four homes and raising our family, we decided to move the the lake we have always loved, Table Rock Lake in Missouri.  We purchased a small lakeside resort with 8 cottages in need of restoration and renovated all cottages and reopened in 2017.  We sold the resort in the fall of 2020 and decided to focus on what we loved most, building and creating.  We built house #5 on the lake along with our new workshop.  Loving the lake life and creating for our clients.
